Judeo-Arabic literature refers to the writings and artistic works written in the Judeo-Arabic dialects by Jews living under the Muslim regime starting in the ninth century. The principal characteristic of Judeo-Arabic literature is that it written in the Arab language using Hebrew letters.
The Department of Arabic at Bar-Ilan University exposes its students to the diverse linguistics topics of Judeo-Arabic writings through poems and fables, linguistics essays, biblical interpretations, philosophy, and polemic texts, rare writings, some of which are still in the original script.
